Dot’s Strawberry Pie
Pretzel Crust:
- 2 cups crushed Dot’s Pretzels
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
Cream Cheese Filling:
- 1 1/2 cup cold heavy whipping cream
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 cup + 1 1/2 T sugar
- 1 package (8oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 can strawberry pie filling
- 1 tub cool whip
Directions
Pretzel Crust:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine Dot’s Pretzels, butter, and sugar.
3. Press crushed pretzels into an ungreased 9x13 inch baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.
4. Remove from oven and let cool.
Cream Cheese Filling:
1. In your mixing bowl, combine whipping cream, vanilla, and 1 - 1/2 tablespoons sugar; beat until the cream reaches stiff peaks. Set aside.
2. Beat the cream cheese and remaining sugar together until smooth and creamy.
3. Fold in the prepared whipped topping.
4. Spread cream cheese filling over pretzel crust all the way to the edges.
5. Spoon in the strawberry pie mixture and spread over the cream cheese filling.
6. Top with Cool Whip and spread over the top.
7. Cut into squares and garnish with crushed Dot’s Pretzels.
